Well done to all the young women who took part in the Health & Beauty Course during May half term. The girls learnt manicure, pedicure, facials, and most improtantly how to work as a team and support each other. What a fab Spa Day you had on Friday!

SAMPAD Celebration
Congratulations to all the girls from Hodge Hill Girls School, Hodge Hill Sports & Enterprise College, Hodge Hill Primary School, Braidwood School and Tame Valley school, who took part in the Bollywood performance at the Town Hall on the 30th November. They were fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!
October Half Term-Swimming Good Time!
Another great week...thank you to everyone who took part. There was Bollywood Dancing (with SAMPAD), and Football (with Street Games), and we were very excited to offer swimming lessons at Hodge Hill Sports & Enterprise College. In the lovely newly refurbished pool all swimmers improved...with some now looking to join local swimming teams....future olympians?
New: Time Out for Parents
Free 6 week positive parenting course for parents of children aged 0-9 years. Course covers topics such as handling negative emotions, active listening, boundries, rewarding good behavoiur, keeping children safe and bullying. New: Expert Patient Programme
Free 6 week self management programme for parents/carers whose child or family member has a long term illness (i.e. Back Pain, Arthritis,Heart Disease, Asthma, Sickle Cell, Multiple Sclerosis. Communication & Autism Team
Are you a parent or a carer with a child with ASD? This is a new informal group where you can discuss your experiences and concerns with other parents and the Communication & Autism Team. The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 24th November, 1.30pm at Star Space. No need to book please come along.

Summer Experience
We have now come to the end of our summer experience....and what an experience! Well done to all of those who took part in the rock climing, canoeing and mountain biking (the bikers were the best of course!) Everybody took part in the HIGH ROPES course on Friday, we hope to have some pictures available soon.
Thank you also to all the young people who represented Hodge Hill Cluster on the football coaching week, and in particular the trip to Wembley Stadium on Friday 20th August.
Holiday Activities
What a week! 60 young people took part from the 9th-13th August, in football, art, drumming and dance. What a fantastic performance on Friday afternoon.
Bollywood
Thank you to all who took part in the Bollywood workshops at Hodge Hill Girls School on the 2nd-6th August, especially our dance teacher Reena, Sampad and Sound Futures. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hair & Beauty.......WOW!
Congrtulations to to all the young women who completed the Hair & Beauty week run in partnership with Herriott & Millward. The girls learnt about skincare, makeup, manicures, nail art, and hair leading to a Spa Day for a family member or friend.
Worth Unlimited Play Scheme
All of the Hodge Hill Cluster holiday activities are now full.
Worth Unlimted are however providing a 2 week playscheme meeting daily at THE HUB, 146 Bromford Drive (next to Post Office). The scheme will be running from the 2nd-6th August, and the 9th-13th August. 10.00am until 3.00pm each day, £2 per child per day, ACTIVITIES FOR ALL!!!! Forest Skills
It's hard to believe we are at the end of the first week of the Summer Experience already! Forest Skills has been fantastic. The group would like to say a big thank you to Dan Jones of Forest Adventures for running this brilliant project. The group have built dens, learnt how to camouflage, make dream catchers, archery and lots and lots and lots more! They are celebrating their achievements today with a forest barbeque!!!!!!!
Transition Summer Schools
Summer schools have been running all week at Hodge Hill Girls School and Hodge Hill Sports and Enterprise College to welcome our new Year 7 young people and help them settle in at their new schools.

Campus Health Day
On Wednesday 30th June 2010 Hodge Hill Cluster will hold our annual health day. Drop in and see us from 10am until 2pm in the exams hall at Hodge Hill Girls School. We will be having lots of fun with the smoothie bike, ultimate frizzby, and street dancing!!!!
Drama Workshops

On the 2nd-4th June young women from Braidwood and Hodge Hill Girls School attended drama workshops at Star Space. Great week girls, well done!!!

Holiday Activities- Cadbury World Trip, Wednesday 7th April 2010. It was a fantastic day out, delicious!!!!!
Holiday Activities- Hodge Hill Primary School, Year 6 Easter School was held at Birmingham City Football Club on the 12th and 13th April. The children worked with staff from Playing for Success, with a tour of the ground, playing fantasy football, creating their own team kit, and activities in the team shop.

MY CHOICE-There is a new fund available to extended services called My Choice. This is a piot project at the moment to give children and young peole the opportunity to access extra after school and holiday activities. It is not available to everyone but if you have been chosen you will be contacted by your school.
